In the Roanoke Valley, physicians who admit the majority of their patients to a Carilion facility may participate in our referral service. In all other service areas, physicians on the active staff of Carilion facilities may participate. There is no charge for this online service, and physicians are not charged a fee to participate in this service. Participation in our online referral system by each physician is voluntary. Physician names are given on a rotating basis as they meet your specifications. If you have an insurance plan such as an HMO or PPO, it is your responsibility to ask the physician’s office if they participate in your plan.
